Snapper Blues
Bluefish range from the North Atlantic seaboard
to the Gulf of Mexico. A migratory specie
that feeds voraciously on small baitfish
near rip currents. Small bluefish known
as Snappers are popular with children and
light tackle enthusiast.
I once read a story
about youngsters that fashioned rods out
of nearby reeds. The object was to see
who could land the biggest Snapper blue
without breaking the reed. This painting
was created for Jeff Wolfer who traveled
from NY to Fl to catch his first fly rod
blue.
